Conant Silos
About This Project
Completion Date: March 2025
Location: Maumee, OH
Project Type: Agricultural Demolition
L.J. Irving Demolition was selected to remove thirty-six concrete silos, each standing approximately 170 feet tall, at an agricultural site in Maumee, Ohio. Due to the height and density of the structures, the project required detailed planning, controlled sequencing, and precise coordination of heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Starting with a comprehensive site plan, our team executed a phased demolition approach that prioritized safety, stability, and site control throughout the operation.
Scope of Work
The scope of work included high reach and crane-assisted demolition, concrete processing, and foundation removal, with all material handling managed in-house. The project was completed safely and in coordination with the client.
Project Execution
Our crews managed every aspect of the operation, including equipment selection, labor coordination, scheduling, and site supervision. Maintaining a clean, organized work zone was critical given the scale of the structures and proximity of ongoing agricultural operations.

Despite the size and complexity of the silos, the project progressed smoothly from start to finish, maintaining consistent production and safe working conditions throughout.
